LED CFL Replacement Lamps
Most pin-base CFL fixtures in hallways, stairwells and downlights can take an LED PL lamp. Start with the base on the old lamp: 2-pin bases (G24d, GX23) run on magnetic ballasts, and 4-pin bases (G24q, GX24q) run on electronic ballasts. Then pick the type. Type A runs on the existing ballast if it is on the lamp maker's compatibility list. Type B is wired around the ballast to line voltage. Hybrid lamps do both.
