Occupancy Sensors
Sensors cut lighting energy in rooms people forget to switch off: restrooms, storage rooms, break rooms and offices. Occupancy sensors turn lights on and off automatically. Vacancy sensors need a manual on and turn lights off automatically, and are often what energy code calls for. PIR sensors suit open, line-of-sight rooms; dual technology adds ultrasonic for restrooms and rooms with partitions. Check whether the switch box has a neutral wire before ordering a wall switch model.
