Magnetic Metal Halide Ballasts
Magnetic metal halide ballasts usually come as a kit: core and coil, capacitor and, for pulse start, an ignitor. Match the lamp wattage and starting method (probe start or pulse start) from the lamp's ANSI code. Quad-tap kits run on 120, 208, 240 or 277 volts. F-can versions are sealed and mount like a fluorescent ballast. Replace the capacitor with the ballast; a weak capacitor kills new lamps. Text a photo of the old part or its label to 949-589-3020.
