Halogen Lamps
Halogen lamps still run a lot of track heads, display cases, sconces and low voltage landscape lights. Read three things off the fixture label or lamp: the base (G4, GY6.35, G9, E11, GU10 or medium), the voltage (12V or 120V) and the wattage. Never touch a halogen capsule with bare fingers; skin oil shortens its life. If the fixture is used every day, an LED MR16 or LED PAR lamp usually pays for itself quickly.
