Recessed Downlight Fixtures
Pick the install type first. New construction housings mount to joists before the ceiling goes up; remodel housings clip into a hole in an existing ceiling; canless wafer lights mount with spring clips and a remote junction box. Then match aperture size (2 to 8 inches), lumens and color temperature. Use IC-rated fixtures where insulation touches them. In California homes, downlights must be JA8 certified to meet Title 24.
