High Pressure Sodium Ballasts
HPS ballasts run high pressure sodium lamps in streetlights, parking lot and security fixtures. Match the lamp wattage and the ANSI S-code. Most kits include the core and coil, a capacitor and an ignitor; multi-tap kits cover 120, 208, 240 and 277 volts. An HPS ballast will not run a metal halide lamp. When lamps cycle on and off, check the lamp and ignitor before replacing the ballast. Text a photo of the old part or its label to 949-589-3020.
